RECYCLED BAGS for COPA FOOTBALL - 2006 -> continuing - copafootball
Together, we decided to cooperate for a commune project: Produce a line of handbags made from original football and cycling t-shirts.
We sorted about 1000 interesting vintage pieces to transform them into a unique bag.
In the process, t-shirts are washed, cutted and applied to an internal foam to add a stiffness to each bags parts. Due to intellectual property, we had to select only local teams apparel using local sponsors inscriptions.
Nowadays; this project remains under the hands of copafootball and using famous clubs t-shirts. All pieces are unique.

This project is the result of my previous diploma (Industrial Design Bachelor) project made in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, june 2004.
Urban furniture made for skateboarding.
« Skateboarders by very nature are urban guerrillas: they make everyday use of the useless artefacts of the technological burden, and employ the handiwork of the government/corporate structure in a thousand ways that the original architects could never dream of. »
Craig Stecyk, « Dogtown and the Z-Boys »
Movie about the birth of skateboarding by
The Z-Boys, surfers from California.
The original idea was to conceive a skate spot where urban objects would integrate (and conform to) skateboarding. As practicing skateboard myself I always thought it was the dream of every skater: to have a part of the city that is “designed” for skateboarding, accepting and integrating this sport into the city life.
This means to create urban furniture, which is functional (sitting) but also answers skateboarding needs.
Skateboarders are often considerate as vandals who damage and don’t take care of urban architecture only by thinking of the skatability of it. Offering a public space specially made for it (excluding skate parks) is telling them their integrity into the city life.
The form consists of a bench and different skate modules: 2 banks, a grind, a transition curb and a smooth transition.
The size of the object is defined by a harmony in proportions of the planes and the height (90 cm) and the length (10m). This allows a few skaters to ride at the same time on different parts, while pedestrian are sitting on the bench.
The choice of materials is concrete and metal edges. The concrete is well adapted to absorb noise and metal edges are protecting and offering better sliding quality to the shape.
“ Skateboarding is not a Crime”
Santa Cruz (sk8brand)
In 2009, The city of Geneva, Switzerland, asked me to participate as a designer to a conference about urban public sapces and urban playgrounds.
We decided to produce and place the Sk8object in an open public space in a genevan public park - Parc de Franchises.
This obkect still remains nowadays as a well known skatespot in the city.
